Julio, 2012.- La banda chilena The Suicide Bitches se anotó con una de las grandes sorpresas de la temporada 2012. No sólo están promocionando su debut en larga duración, “The Farm of the Suicide Bitches in Heaven”, sino que también su música ha tenido tal alcance que hace un par de semanas fueron parte de la primera edición del festival CBGB, en Nueva York.
En una prueba patente de cómo Internet ha cambiado la forma en que funcionan las cosas, fueron los organizadores de esta cita los que se acercaron al grupo vía Twitter. The Suicide Bitches se presentó el jueves 5 de julio en The Studio at Webster Hall, junto a Fidlar, The Pinz y The Wicked Tomorrow, donde mostraron un potente show de 12 canciones en casi una hora de espectáculo. El mismo show que presentarán este miércoles 8 de agosto en Bar Loreto y que Levi’s presentará en exclusiva. “Nuestra música es rápida y no te da respiro, es un golpe al mentón”, así describe su vocalista, Felipe Arriagada, los directos de The Suicide Bitches.
“The Farm of the Suicide Bitches in Heaven”, es su debut en formato larga duración y está disponible para libre descarga desde su sitio web. Once temas que combinan urgencia punk con esencia rock y riffs stoner.
El productor Hilly Kristal fundó el club CBGB, cuyas siglas se refieren a “Country, Bluegrass and Blues”, en 1973, lugar que fue convirtiéndose poco a poco en la meca del rock y el punk mundial, donde grupos como The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads y Sonic Youth dieron sus primeros conciertos.
